Horwich Moor Methodist Church Horwich Moor Methodist Church exists to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. We are a small congregation, varying in age from 3 to 83, worshipping regularly every Sunday afternoon at 2.30pm. Many years ago when the church served a predominantly farming community, this was the only time on a Sunday when the local farm workers could be spared, in-between milking. Although still surrounded by fields, the cows have long since moved away, but we still keep to the traditional time for worship. However, in our services we mix the traditional with modern worship songs and we always ensure that part of every service is particularly suitable for children. For our young ones we have the J.A.M. Club (Jesus at the Moor), and for those of us who are older there are a range of activities; including Bible Study, Belleplates' Group, Parents and Toddlers Group, a Coffee Morning and Book Club, in fact something for everyone. The church is situated amongst the rolling hills of the West Pennine Moors overlooking the town of Horwich. The setting is naturally peaceful and the church and gardens are an ideal place for prayer and quiet contemplation at any time. We do hope you will be able to join us for worship or any of our activities and assure you of a very warm welcome.
