St John's - Room Facilities

St John's is the place to Meet!

Our Premises are available for letting

The Church complex consists of a collection of modern rooms at ground and lower ground levels, which are available for hire on a regular or one off basis.

All the facilities are serviced by our own car park, adjacent to the main entrance.

The premises have recently been upgraded

to provide disabled access to the Church and ground

floor rooms. A new disabled toiled is provided at this level.

A chair lift has also recently been installed to provide

disabled access to the lower ground level.

The refurbished kitchen is situated in a central location and can be part of the letting arrangements.

The main ground level rooms are carpeted and comfortably furnished.

A sound system and audio loop facility is fitted in the Church.

The whole complex is situated in Victoria Road off Chorley New Road and is located close to Junction 6 of the M61 motorway.

There is a no smoking policy throughout the whole complex, and alcohol is not allowed on the premises.


The Letting Areas consist of:-

Welcome Area, Stage, Lower Large Hall, Kitchen, Wesley Room and The Church.

Welcome Area – This entrance area is included
with any Church or meeting room lettings and
provides ample space as a guest reception area.

It also has the facility to provide an extension
to the main Church by means of a folding partition.

The Church – This area is suitable for varied
activities and larger formal meetings with seating
for 180 people.The layout of the room is very
flexible and the Pulpit and Communion Rail can
be removed if desired, also the upholstered seats
can be moved individually to suit the required
layout. The floor is fully carpeted and there is
easy access for people with disabilities.

The Kitchen – This is accessible from the Stage,
Welcome Area and Church.  It is fully equipped
with large cooker, washing-up facilities, including
dishwasher and hot water boiler.

Further meeting rooms at the ground floor level
include The Wesley Room – This is a self contained
carpeted room suitable for small meetings and
functions. 

This room can seat up to 25-30 people -
formal or “café” style format.

Leading from the Welcome Area is the Stage –
This is screened off from the Lower Hall or opened up
to form part of the Lower Hall.

This area has access to the kitchen via a serving hatch
and is a suitable dining area. It has a wooden floor
and general purpose/craft sink.

The Lower Main Hall – This is suitable for larger
events such as parties, large meetings, lectures
and workshops.  It can seat in audience format
up to 150.  It has a wooden floor and is accessed
from two entrance doors at each end of the hall.
  A chair lift has recently been installed to aid
disabled access. 

All the facilities have the use of small tables or larger tables of various sizes. 

Rooms are available for day and evening bookings Monday to Saturday.
